Janet C. Stanczak nee Pistone, resident of Arlington Heights for 44 years. Born October 16, 1943 in Chicago to Thomas and Margaret nee O’Brien Pistone. Passed away in peace on June 10, 2015.
Tireless, caring wife and treasured mother, coach and friend. Survived by her best friend, beloved husband of almost 49 years and St. Jerome’s schoolmate, Bill. Loving mother of Bill Jr. (Tina), Colleen (Michael) Burns, Tom, Debbie (Bryan) Devience, and Dan (Michelle). Cherished grandmother of Niall, Shannon, Bryan, Caroline, Kayle, and Brooke.
Janet was a 1961 graduate of Immaculata High School, and member of Saint Cecilia’s Parish in Mt. Prospect. She started working in the Loop for the First National Bank of Chicago before her marriage. She later worked in the accounts payable department for Telemechanique and later Square D, to help put their kids through St. Viator High School and college. She enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren, and family pet dogs Misty and Ally, and was an avid Blackhawks fan. Above all, she reveled in the time spent with her husband. Visitation Friday, June 12th from 3:00 to 9:00 PM at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 West Central Road, at Northwest Hwy. Mount Prospect .
Family and friends will gather on Saturday in the Bernardin Room of St. Cecilia Church, Golf Rd. (Rt 58) at Meier Rd., Mt. Prospect where she will lie in state from 9:00 AM until the10:00 AM Mass, followed by a graveside service at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
